Luxurious May Meal

On one fine Friday lunch time, MPig dated FPig for lunch for the second time. FPig was craving for Japanese food. So we went to Sakae Sushi at Sunway Pyramid to have our lunch.

We felt amazed that each table has a ipad 2 for customers to order their food.

We had sashimi,

sushi of the month,

 squid

and eel....

We had a free RM7.99 dish when we liked their new menu by waving the facebook like page to them.

Fish Manhattan Market fish and chips

Fpig saw the fish manhattan market fish and chips promotion, rm 6.99, original price is rm14.99.

The promotion only lasted for two days, 29 & 30 March.

So we decided to go before the promotion end. 1 utama does not have fish manhattan, so we dicided to go e-curve. The parking is rm2 for five hours.

Fpig likes the fish and chips, the portion is big enough and really worth rm6.99.

Then we also ordered cream cheese mussels, rm10.99 for fours medium size mussels and bread. I do not think it worth the price.

MPig had baked fish with rice and vege, quite delicious.

The total price is rm 40.35, only rm50 and above will accept credit card.

Then we watched Wrath of The Titan at Cathay Cinema. It is a good effect movie. Story line is just normal.

IKea Restaurant

This is a place that I insisted to go long time ago but MPig kept on giving excuses that the restaurant is actually in the middle of the showroom and need to walk a big distance only can reach bla bla bla.

3/3/2012 finally I successfully forced and dragged him to go with me.

We parked at Tesco at the opposite of the road. Now Tesco started to charge for those who do not shop at there.

But if you buy rm5 stuff from Tesco and still within 3 hours grace period, you still allowed to park for free.

When we reached Ikea Restaurant at around 6pm, there was a long queue.

I went to queue for food while MPig went to wait and reserve table to eat. It is a self service where I waited for nearly 20 mins only reached my turn

I ordered salmon which is something I missed most when I was in the UK. It costed rm12.90 which I think it is reasonable price.

This is the whole bird chicken with chips that costed rm15.90.

Of cos there is the famous Swedish meatballs which costs rm5 for 5 pieces, rm10 for 10 pieces and rm 14 for 15 pieces. It comes with chips and cranberry sauce.

The softdrink costs rm1.50 free refill

There is the choice of coffee, cappuccino and juices too.

There is a lot of desserts such as the daim cake, cheese cake, muffin and Cinnabon bun. I wish to try but we were to full to try all. I wish to come again next time for dessert!

After our meal, I noticed that the queue was still very long. It is really considered economic price to have international quality food.

Groupbase at Sri Damansara

Just came back from lunch with my longkor at Groupbase Bandar Sri Damansara.

I felt the business was not like last time anymore. Not many customers even though lunch time. There was full house 6 years ago I came here.

I had cincai Bandung, it was so watery and tasteless. It costs rm 2.20.

I had mee Bandung, again, the soup was watery, the portion of yellow noodles was small with a few pieces of chicken and extremely small prawn. It costs rm6. One word, not worthy.

Longkor had nasi USA. It was just the fried rice, with 3 small broccoli, chicken masak merah and a fried egg on top. It costs rm9.90.

I don't think I will go back again. I think they have changed the chef. Last time it tasted so delicious and tv3 Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan also came here for introducing the food.

Granny's Kitchen Restaurant

We went to Granny's Kitchen Restaurant to have lunch after MPig finished his badminton.

Granny's Kitchen Restaurant located at Desa Petaling, next to Plaza Salak Park (SPARK). It is restaurant that sell home made noodles and rice such as the one made by our grandma or mother when we were small. It makes you feel that you back to the old days enjoying home cooked food at home.

The menu provided in this restaurant, ranged from noodles, pan mee, rice, porridge to chee cheong fun and yong tau foo. There is also various type of desserts, or chinese called 糖水.

I ordered Chicken Mushroom Pan Mee 冬菇鸡丝面粉粿. The noodles is very smooth. It will come with some fried anchovies and home made sambal. It is at set meal where it comes with fried wan tan and soya bean milk leong fan. (RM8.80)

The fried wan tan is considered small and with just a few fillings.

MPig ordered Curry Chicken Choo Chang Fen 咖哩鸡猪肠粉 (RM5.90). The taste is really like our home cooked chicken curry with chee cheong fan.

He also order 鱼翅瓜雪耳红枣糖水. (RM 5.80).

If you miss your mother or grandma's home cooking, I will recommend you to come to Granny's Kitchen to search back your younger days reminisce.

At SPARK, there is a Rest and Go Area, provided by Gintell, where you just have to slot in RM1 to the Chair, it will help you massage your whole body for 3 minutes. RM 5 for 15 minutes and RM 10 for 30 minutes. I felt that the power of the massage is not enough to ease my body ache. ;p

After having lunch, we went to SPARK MBO, watched Super 8 with Boon and wife. Super 8 is a movie that shooted based on 1980's way of shooting. It is an American Science fiction movie produced by Steven Spielberg. The story line narrates a group of teenagers, faced some dangerous and met with aliens when filming their own super 8 movie.

The Stolen Recipe Restaurant

After a hectic week of work, MPig decided to have a big dinner to celebrate the weekend. We went to Stolen Recipe in Aman Puri Kepong. It has a unique setting with extraordinary concept restaurant. There is the live singing performance at night. The staffs are friendly and polite.

This restaurant offer western cuisine with affordable price. But I have to admit that the food portion is considered quite small. Both of us did not feel full after the meal.

I ordered Seafood Pomodoro RM 17.88. There was prawns, squids, clams, mussels with traditional special pomodoro sauce topped with parmesan cheese. It was served with two choices of side dishes. I choosed potato salad and coleslaw as side dishes. To me, I think the pomodoro sauce is just the normal tomato puree. Nothing special at all. There was just less than 5 prawns and mussels in the meal. I don't feel it worth the price.

MPig had Char Broiled beef Steak RM 26.88. It came with mashed potatos and boiled vegetables side dishes. As I don't eat beef, I can't comment on it. But I saw the medium cooked steak was quite tender and juicy. But again, the portion is quite small.

We had cooling passionate soda, RM 7.88. It is just the lime juice in sparking water.

Since we came early, we had no chance to enjoy the entertainment performances.
