Penang

Visited the heritage of Penang during Deepavali holiday. I like Mirrors of Georgetown. It is a creative approach to nurture and cultivate artist and the most important is the cost is not expensive.

There is around 8-9 wall pictures drawn by a French artist, Ernest Zacharevic. Then recently this has encouraged local artist to draw the slide pictures too.

Mirrors of Georgetown has attracted not only tourists but Penangites to visit this UNESCO heritage in Georgetown.

All the pictures are scattered around a few famous street in Georgetown.

Some tourists rent a bicycle to tour around the area. They not only have the chance to see the beautiful pictures but also witness the architecture of the pre war houses.

Penang government has set Sunday as "No Car Day" to allow tourists to walk or cycle around and enjoy the beauty of the area.

Visiting Penang is not complete without trying all the Penang delicacies such as laksa, curry mee, kangkung and cuttlefish, Chee cheong Fun, char Kueh Tiao etc.
