Mark 2 years anniversary of pumping

Today mark the second year of breastfeeding for me. I am so pleased that I still can get this amount of yield after 5-6 hours apart. Nowadays I pump between 11-12 and 6-7.

I will dl her at around 9pm and 5am. Weekend will be feed on demand.

It is my pleasure to breastfeed her because it creates a strong bonding between her and me.

Pumpables is a great pump that I have ever used. I have used Medela PISA, Spectra M1 and Pumpables. This is the most silent pump and has a strong suction that I just need to spend around 10-15 mins to clear my whole breast.

In order to make sure that I give a nutrition milk for her, besides healthy diet, I also take Atomy supplements:

1) Probiotics 益生菌 in the morning after breakfast
2) Eye lutein 叶黄素 which take care of our eyes at around 11am
3) Vitamin C 维他命 C in the afternoon after lunch
4) Calcium 钙片 mid noon
5) Promegranate 红石榴 in during tea time.

A breastfeeding mom daily supplement

I am a nursing mom for the past 3.5 years. I stopped my breastfeeding journey for 9 months when I was pregnant with my second baby. Then I continue to nurse until now. Baby is 1.5 year now.

I always feel proud of myself to become a nursing mom, able to fully breastfeeding my two children for so long. My goal is to nurse my second baby until she is two years old or let her wean off by herself.

As a woman to produce milk and supply for two children for 3.5 years is amazing. In order to provide the best nutrients to them, we also need to make sure that we are healthy and produce enough supply daily.

Below is my daily supplement that I have.
1) Atomy Chewable Calcium
2) Atomy Eye Lutein
3) Atomy Vitamin C
4) Atomy Probiotics

Calcium is important to women especially to mommies. A balance diet with adequate calcium is good for mothers and babies. Our body demand greater calcium intake during breastfeeding. Calcium is good for our baby's bone formation and to keep the teeth strong and healthy. Furthermore, eating calcium can reduce hair fall too.

Atomy Eye Lutein is to protect my eyes. The reason is because as a working mom, I have to face the monitor screen at least 7-8 hours per day. My eyes tend to get dry. Consuming eye lutein provides the vitamin A which is essential for my vision at night. It contains berry extracts which is good to protect our eyes from dryness.

Vitamin C is necessary for the growth, development and repair of our body tissues. It is also a type of anti-aging source to strengthen our immune system. So whenever I feel that I am going to fall sick or my babies are going to have flu or fever, I will take more vitamin C to strengthen my immune system and thus help to strengthen my babies immune system too. I try not to give them medicine or antibiotics at such a young age.

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for our health, especially our digestive system. Probiotics intake will help to boost our immune system and improve digestive function. Amazingly, it can also prevent and treat urinary tract infections.

My breastfeeding experience

I am a breastfeeding mom since three years ago. It has been part of my life, my routine. I feel so proud of myself that able to prepare the BEST food in the world for my two kids.

This routine is still on going. I do not know until when it will stop, but I precious every single moment that I have, the pumping session, the direct latch session.

Now I normally pump early in the morning around 5:30am before go to work, then 11:30am, before lunch time and 6:30pm.

I will get around 4-5 oz for each side for each pumping. My baby will direct latch during the night time.

The funniest thing is that whenever she wants to have her milk, she will come to me, hold my finger and bring me to the bed. Normally she will have her milk at 8:30pm, before sleep around 10pm. Mid night will be feed on demand.

I really love the close bonding while breastfeeding. Furthermore, I do not have to worry of them getting sick, because breast milk has made them strong.

To me, every drop counts, it's liquid gold to my babies. I would like to share this to all the mummies out there, do not give up even you encounter any issues during breastfeeding. We are a big family here to help each other. :)

Now I am doing my pumping at the cozy hotel room, enjoying the beautiful scenery outside.

Healthy Food Powder for baby when traveling

Besides the flash card, this is another essential items that we will bring along when we are on the road trip to cook porridge for the 15 mos baby.

2) Rice which is packed using the recycled milk storage bag

When the porridge is cooked, we just have to add in the food powder for taste and nutrition.
